A center for Japanese arts and culture in South Florida? It’s true! Now you can experience all that Morikami Museum and Japanese Garden has to offer right in the palm of your hand with the launch of their new mobile app!

The Cuseum-powered app features a tour of the gardens, as well as audio, images, and exclusive Morikami content. The mobile guide leads you through historical gardens where you can marvel at the premier bonsai collection, before continuing on to Seshin-an, the traditional tea house, for a demonstration or class in the ancient art of Japanese tea ceremonies.

The Morikami Museum owes its roots to a group of Japanese farmers who came to Florida in 1904, intending to revolutionize agriculture in the area. While their goals were never realized, since 1977, the Museum has paid tribute to the Japanese history in Florida with a permanent exhibit based around the colony, as well as a series of rotating exhibitions, all designed to “present Japanese cultural experiences that educate and inspire.”

The Morikami app is available for free on the App Store or at morikami.org/app.
